π Step 1 β Get Your Licence (AusCycling)
All riders must hold a valid AusCycling licence to ride at the track. This provides insurance coverage and allows participation in training and racing.

π Annual Licence
After your trial, riders will need to upgrade to an AusCycling annual licence.
- Full insurance coverage
- Access to all club racing and events
- Ability to race at other clubs and competitions

Once youβve signed up, youβre ready to ride!
- Join us for Tuesday training sessions
- Get involved in Wednesday and Thursday coaching
- Race at Friday Night Racing
- Meet our friendly club members and volunteers
No experience needed β weβll guide you from your first ride through to racing.
π What to Bring
To get started, riders will need:
- BMX bike (in safe working condition)
- Full face helmet
- Long sleeve shirt or jersey
- Long pants
- Gloves
- Enclosed shoes
π Donβt have all the gear yet? No stress β we have limited helmets and gloves available to help you get started.
π‘ Transponders (Racing Only)
Riders aged 8 years and over, racing from the top of the start hill, are required to use a MyLaps transponder.
- Mounted on the right-hand front fork
- Used for timing and race results
- Available for hire or purchase through the club
π Rider Categories
We support riders at all levels:
π’ Mini Wheelers
Balance bikes only, focused on fun and basic skills.
π΅ New Riders / Non-Confident Gate Starters
Riders new to the sport and progressing toward the start hill.
Start from the first jump and complete full laps.
π‘ Sprockets (5β7 years)
Race from the top of the start hill. Participation-based and not timed.
π΄ Challenge Class Riders
Confident riders racing the full track from the start hill.
