🚲 Training & Coaching at Jingili BMX Club

At Jingili BMX Club, we’re passionate about building riders from their very first ride through to confident racers and beyond. Our training and coaching programs are designed to support every stage of the journey in a fun, inclusive, and progressive environment.

Run by dedicated volunteers and experienced coaches, our sessions focus on developing skills, confidence, and a genuine love for BMX.


🟒 Tuesday Training Sessions (All Levels)

Our Tuesday sessions provide a structured pathway for riders to develop at their own pace.

5:00pm – 5:30pm | Mini Wheelers
Perfect for our youngest riders on balance bikes. These sessions focus on building confidence, balance, and basic skills in a safe and fun environment.

5:30pm – 6:30pm | Non-Confident Gate Starters / New Riders
Designed for riders new to BMX or those not yet confident on the start hill. The focus is on developing fundamental skills, track awareness, and introducing gate starts in a supportive setting.

6:30pm – 7:30pm | Open Gates & Timed Sessions
Open gate practice with transponder timing running. Riders can:

  • Test and refine their training
  • Dial in bike setup and gear ratios
  • Monitor lap times and track progression

🟑 Wednesday Coaching – Beginner & Novice Riders

Structured coaching sessions designed to build strong BMX foundations.

Beginner Session (Approx. 5:15pm – 6:00pm)
For riders new to pedal bikes and BMX. Focus areas include:

  • Bike control and confidence
  • Track positioning
  • Basic BMX techniques

Novice Session (Approx. 6:00pm – 7:00pm)
For riders regularly attending Friday racing and confident rolling or starting from the gate. Focus includes:

  • Pumping and speed generation
  • Cornering technique
  • Gate starts
  • Introduction to race skills

πŸ”΄ Thursday Coaching – Intermediate & Advanced Riders

Performance-focused coaching for riders looking to elevate their racing.

Intermediate Coaching
For regular club racers and developing competitive riders:

  • Manual and jump progression
  • Corner speed and race lines
  • Advanced gate technique
  • Race strategy

Advanced / Expert Coaching
For experienced and competitive riders:

  • Refining high-level techniques
  • Racecraft under pressure
  • Performance development, including strength and conditioning principles

🟠 Friday Night Racing (Development in Action)

Our Friday Night Racing is where it all comes together.

  • Fun, inclusive race format
  • Multiple motos for maximum track time
  • No pressure, beginner-friendly environment

This is the perfect opportunity for riders to apply what they’ve learned during the week in a real race setting.
